AKA 10 things I hate about list posts
- You can’t get away with doing a list post for the first post on a blog
- I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve clicked on an interesting sounding list post …
- …only to find boring, bland or vapid content inside
- Often, list items are only included to make up the numbers …
- … or are duplicates of other entries
- There are never 15 reasons to care about what the Kardashians are doing …
- … but I am sucked into reading about them nonetheless
- List post titles are often so click-baity
- I can never come up with enough items for my list posts
Click-baity is certainly true.

I’ve never heard (or read) that term before. Does it mean tempted to click? List posts can certainly be that for me.

Sparking curiosity is what I’ve considered it. Typically one clicks them to see if they agree with the assessment

A click bait post is one that has an incredibly interesting sounding subject that baits you into clicking it. Invariably, the article is a complete let-down.

Ah… Yes, that indeed happens to me quite often. Great term. Thanks for the clarification – I am so going to use it!

Nine seems a perfectly reasonable number of items for a list!

Yes, I think it just about worked, even with the dupes!
